Holy Sh*t! I just got back from the midnight showing of The Dark Knight and it was possibly the best movie I've seen since I remember first watching V for Vendetta. (excellent movie and comic book by the way). But even before the movie started there was EPICNESS! I don't know if a lot of you are familiar with American comics but Watchman is probably the best comic I've ever read, as soon as I saw the guy go up in a blue skeleton I screamed "IT"S DR. MANHATTAN!!!" And every one around me pretty much said STFU! XD As my friend R.J. put it "Yes, I noticed you joygasm when it came on, it must be good." XD I've been waiting for a damn preview for that movie and it doesn't come out till 2009 but I hope against all hope there will be an extended trailer or clip or panel about it at SDCC. But yes, if you want your mind to be blown then rearranged so you suspect every move and machination of the world around you, READ WATCHMAN! Ah but any way, back to Batman. Heath Ledger was brilliant! I'm even more depressed he's dead now than I was when he died. >.< The Joker was as twisted and full of manipulation and havoc as in the rewritten Kirby version of Batman. There was so much suspense and action that I was jumping up and down in my seat the whole way through. I hated it when they made Havey Dent into two face though, I knew it was going to happen, but still, Dean Eckheart's pretty face waaaah!! D: But my favorite scene was the hospital one with the Joker dressed in a white nurses outfit. It was so ridiculous and yet crazy thrilling because he not only blew up a hospital he also played Russian roulette with Dent, while dressed as a woman. XD I also called Remerez being one of the Joker's men/women, about thrity minutes before it happened in the movie, and when it did I got congratulatory handshakes from all my friends for calling it. XD There were so many twists and turns and explosions and calculated acts of violence and angst I'm going to see the whole thing again tomorrow. There are only two movies I've been to see more than once in the theaters. One was Pirates of the Caribbean 1 and the other was V for Vendetta. So this movie is seriously the bomb, worth the two and half hours of gut wrenching action and seven bucks I paid for it. The only downside was there was not topless Christian Bale, which I miss very much. D: If you haven't planned on seeing The Dark Knight, change your plans because this movie is going to blow your ever lovin brains out and cackle insanely while it does it. XD
